March Devotional - "It's a God thing!"

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make straight your paths.

Don’t you just love the way God works in our lives. One minute I’m sweating over the writing of my book Into God’s Presence wondering if anyone will ever read it in America – the next minute (well a year later actually) I’m staying with one of my readers in Texas.
God is in every detail of our lives. It’s amazing the way he brings people together, even from across the other side of the world. When I rather cheekily asked Georgeanne if I might come and stay, she knew in her spirit that my request was “a God thing.” In other words, she didn’t try and figure it out for herself, she simply recognised that our meeting was part of God’s plan and we were both mightily blessed as a result. What a wonderful God of surprises we worship.
So beware whose books you read, as you too could end up with the author staying with you!!
Prayer:
Lord, thank you that you promise to lead us in the way we should go. Help us to hear your voice and to follow your path as we spend time with you this Lent season. Amen
