Celtic Treasure Book Cover17 March 2009

Hi everyone. Spring feels like it’s here in the UK after a serious batch of snow. It’s amazing the difference a few weeks can make. Many of us enjoyed making snowmen, but are now loving the daffodils too. Despite the economic gloom, there is much to be thankful for.

2009 sees the emergence of my 10th book Celtic Treasure!

It is now 10 years since my first book Can God Help M.E? was published and so I will be celebrating in various ways. My ministry began with leading retreats for ME (CFS) sufferers back in 1996 and so I’m delighted to be back leading a retreat at Mulberry House in June. In addition, there’s a real sense of celebration as my new colour gift book, Celtic Treasure is published in June, as this marks 10 years as a published author. It has been superbly designed by Lion Hudson Publishing, with the title font in gold foil – wow! Now as many of you know, I love working with other artists, and so I’m delighted that a musician is setting one of my prayers from Celtic Treasure to music, and an artist is designing some Celtic knot cards which will feature my prayers. I’ll let you know when these cards become available. And yes, there are more books to come! I’ve just submitted a proposal for a major new book to my US agent.

Liz in the US April and May!

I love visiting the US and during April I will be in Santa Cruz CA at the Mount Hermon Writers’ Conference, and in Oregon. In May, I’m teaching a series of specialist seminars at the Colorado Christian Writers’ Conference.

I love it when you contact me

I’ve just had a most moving email saying how my CD Celtic Heart is touching both patients and staff at a Somerset hospice. It’s wonderful to think that the collaboration between musician Simeon Wood and I lives on through our special CD presentation of my book The Celtic Heart and continues to minister to people. In addition, after a retreat I led I had a lovely card from some worn out folk who run conference centres saying, “I came exhausted and left refreshed.” “Absolutely fantastic.”

Liz a Keynote Speaker at ‘Influence’ retreat for church leadership 25th-26th March

If you can travel to Cliff College in Derbyshire, then this looks like an amazing 2 day conference with some really innovative speakers plus Ben Cantelon leading worship. On the Wednesday, I’ll be speaking on how to engage with our spiritual culture and we’ll be debating and brainstorming the best ways to do this.

Beat the credit-crunch blues – catch me performing in London for free!

Bring some friends along to my new one-woman show Licensed to Chill free in London as part of the Pentecost Festival outreach weekend May 30th. I’m doing 2 shows, one at lunchtime and the other in the afternoon at a lovely pub venue near Charing Cross station. I’d love to see you there. Check out my diary for more details.

Mega Blessings
Liz
